I studied Chinese for three semesters in undergraduate school at American University in Washington, DC. The first two semesters were traditional classes, and for the third semester I studied abroad at Beijing University. After I graduated, I attended the Middlebury College Chinese Summer School program for two summers in Middlebury, VT.

So far my experience at VU has been very positive. The staff and faculty are all very helpful and diligent. All my classmates are all very studious themselves, which is very motivating.

After I graduate from the MACS program, I will attend law school. Long term, I hope that my career will involve work that relates to China, perhaps in a law firm or multinational corporation. I hope to split time between the US and China. Because Chinese is a skill that is in such demand, I am hoping that this goal will not be difficult to achieve.
