Sino-American Basketball Academy [abbr.: SABA; Chinese: is a brand new international program in Valparaiso University.  SABA’s mission is to further enhance the mutual understanding and cultural exchange between China and U.S. and to provide a healthy and splendid summer vacation for Chinese high schools students. The program will include wonderful trips around the country, visits to prestigious universities and extensive English training sessions. Moreover, SABA will provide the students with the opportunity to experience NCAA DI Basketball coaching and training.

To celebrate the tremendous success of Beijing Olympics 2008 and Valparaiso University 150-year birthday in 2009, SABA is gladly welcoming her inauguration in summer 2009. In SABA 2009 program, students will reside in Valpo, receive training by VALPO master coaches, take English lessons in university seminars, and more attractively, all students will be guided into two of the most famous NBA home game domes.  And there are even more surprises here for you.
