Requirements for the Complementary Major in Humanities

The complementary major in humanities is ordinarily pursued in conjunction with the Christ College Scholar program of studies but may be pursued independently from the Scholar requirements. Any student, whether or not a member of Christ College, may earn a complementary major in humanities.

A course used to fulfill the requirements of a complementary major in humanities may not be used to fulfill the minimum requirements of any other major or minor.

CC 255 Interpretation: Self, Culture, and Society 4 credits
CC 325 Intensified Seminar for Honors Thesis 4 credits
Five additional courses from the following options:
CC 300 Topic Based Seminars (may be repeated) 3 credits
CC 325 Topic Based Seminars (may be repeated) 3 credits
Off-Campus Study  An appropriate course completed during a semester of off-campus study will be applied. 3 credits
CC 455 Inquiry in the Liberal Arts  (graded S/U only) 3 credits
TOTAL (minimum) At least 23 credits

Requirements for the Minor in Humanities

The minor in humanities is ordinarily pursued in conjunction with the Christ College Scholar program of studies, but may be pursued independently from the Scholar requirements. Any student, whether or not a member of Christ College, may earn a minor in humanities.

A course used to fulfill the requirements of a minor in humanities may not be used to fulfill the minimum requirements of any other major or minor.
