| Christ College alumni—who number nearly 2,000—are an important part of the College’s larger community. Christ College maintains a range of opportunities designed to keep alumni informed about and involved in CC. These opportunities supplement the many activities and opportunities that the Valparaiso University Alumni Association offers all Valpo grads. | |

The Spillikin
The Spillikin is the Christ College alumni newsletter, published by the Christ College Dean's Office and mailed to the homes of alumni. Regular Spillikin features include the plans of the graduating seniors, a profile of the recipient of the Alumni Association Distinguished Student Award, reports on current student and faculty research, recaps of many of the year’s CC events, stories about prominent alumni, a report on the Christ College Dean’s Annual Fund, a column by the CC Dean, and more.
Christ College Alumni Reading Groups have met in Chicago, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Denver, and Washington DC. Coordinated and led by CC alumni and friends, the groups explore compelling topics of the times:
Inventing the Body (2009)
What Makes a Life Significant? (2008)
Making Things Right (2007)
Faith and the Public Sphere (2006)
Vocation (2005)
Art and Ethics (2004)
Patriotism and Cosmopolitanism (2003)
Faith and Skepticism (2002)
Forgiveness, Reconciliation and Restitution (2001)
Each year Christ College welcomes all CC alumni with two events: the Homecoming Symposium Alumni Panel on the Thursday evening of Homecoming Weekend and a reception (beverages and appetizers) on Saturday afternoon of Homecoming Weekend.

Christ College Dean's Annual Fund
The Christ College Dean’s Annual Fund was established in 1999. Its success continues to demonstrate the allegiance and generosity of Christ College graduates to Valparaiso University and to their honors college. Alumni who contribute to the CCDAF are listed by class year (rather than by giving level) in The Spillikin.
CC Alumni Advisory BoardThe Christ College Alumni Advisory Board supports the Christ College Dean on CC matters, including how best to serve our alumni, fund raising, and development. Alumni Advisory Board meetings and luncheon are held at Homecoming each fall. Alumni are eligible for membership five years after graduation and are expected to be regular contributors to the CC Dean’s Annual Fund; many have provided leadership gifts to the College. The CC Alumni Advisory Board was established in 1990.
Christ College National CouncilFifteen especially distinguished alumni and friends serve as members of the Christ College National Council, which was established in 2001. This group reviews Christ College planning documents and advises the Dean on strategic issues. Members (alumni drawn largely from the advisory board and friends of the honors college) have committed themselves to substantial levels of financial support. National Council members attend a two-day meeting, including a discussion with the University President twice each year. Alumni are eligible for membership 10 years after graduation.
