David Piehler is an attorney and managing partner of Piehler and Strande, a legal firm in
Wausau, Wis. Piehler graduated from Valparaiso University in 1977 with a degree in civil
engineering. He earned the J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1980, where he
was awarded the William Herbert Page award as the outstanding contributor to the University of
Wisconsin Law Review in 1980. He has practiced law with Piehler and Strande since 1988, and also
is a registered professional engineer in Wisconsin. Piehler has been active in leadership roles in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, and is a member of the Synod’s Board of Directors.
