Her teaching and research interests include the anthropology of media, Japanese studies, gender studies, and globalization. Besides her work in Christ College, she teaches seminars in the Chinese/Japanese Studies program and anthropology in the Department of Sociology. Prough's book Straight from the Heart: Gender, Intimacy, and the Production of Shojo Manga was published in January 2011 by University of Hawaii Press. |
