![]() | Jennifer ProughAssistant Professor of Humanities and East Asian StudiesMueller Hall Room 134 BiographyJennifer Prough received her BA from Valparaiso University, MAs from the University of Chicago and the New School for Social Research, and her PhD from Duke University in cultural anthropology. Her teaching and research interests include the anthropology of media, Japanese studies, gender studies, and globalization. Besides the CC Freshman Program, she teaches seminars in the Chinese/Japanese Studies program, and anthropology in the Department of Sociology. Prough has completed a book manuscript on the production of shōjo manga (girls' comics) in contemporary Japan. This year she is Coordinating the Christ College Freshman Program. |
