ORNER WINS UEHLING

Ellen OrnerThe 2009 Uehling Prize for Writing has been awarded to Ellen Orner for her submission "Walking Barefoot on Acorn Shells". Honorable mention also goes to Zach King for his submission "Do a Little Wrong: Making Things Right in The Merchant of Venice" and to John Linstrom for his submission "Towards a Frugal Land Ethic in American Federal Lands Management".

Established in 1992 this scholarship honors the memory of Margot Ann Uehling, a gifted writer and teacher of literature. Awards of up to $1000 go to the undergraduate student who writes the best essay during the academic year.
