This office is grateful to the Lutheran high schools who continue to provide us with current information at least once a year so that we can create this directory. It also happens that many schools continue to alert us to changes as they happen throughout the year. It is thanks to that ongoing communication with schools that we are able to provide an up-to-date on-line directory. We look forward to adding new Lutheran high schools as they are established, not just in the United States but around the world.
The Lutheran church bodies of today can trace their roots directly to the Protestant Reformation that took place in Europe in the 16th century.
The Lutheran Educational Conference of North America, formed in 1910, is the oldest existing inter-Lutheran organization in the United States and Canada. LECNA's purpose is to encourage, assist, and promote cooperation among Lutheran colleges and universities in the United States and Canada.
