Jamie Haney, MACS Program Coordinator, Graduate Coordinator of Recruitment Activities B.A. in American Studies & Political Studies, 2004, Albion College M.A.L.S. in History, 2006, Valparaiso University

I began working for the MACS program in September 2005 as the Program Coordinator and helped successfully recruit and launch the first year of the program with five students. My responsibilities included promotion, recruitment and organization for the 2006 Summer Immersion Program in China. In December 2006, I completed my MA Liberal Studies degree in History and began working full time as the Coordinator of Recruitment Activities at VU's Graduate Division. I still working closely with the MACS program to ensure its continued success at Valparaiso University and with the Summer Immersion Programs to apply for Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad grants and assist with recruitment and coordination of the programs. Beyond the graduate Chinese Studies and Summer Immersion programs, I work with all graduate programs at Valpo to recruit and communicate with prospective students, and I serve as the Initial Adviser for the MS in Sports Administration program.
