Student Travel Grants
Valparaiso
University China Center provides limited amount of travel grant
to VU students who present papers involving China at professional
conferences or engage in academic or professional events that
has a strong emphasis on China. Applicant of the grant must
be a full-time VU student with at least sophomore standing.
The application must be endorsed by a VU faculty who is familiar
with the applicant’s work or in a position to assess the value
of proposed agenda of the applicant. There is no deadline for
application for student travel grant. However, applicants should
expect a few weeks before a decision on their request is made
after they submit the application form. The
amount of grant is based on the availability of funds of the
China Center and the actual needs of the applicant. The grant
must be used in accordance with the regulation of VU and the
guidelines specified in a letter from the director of the China
Center. Recipient of the travel grant is required to submit
a brief report to the China Center after the travel is completed.
