![]() | Christopher Center for Library and Information Resources: Floor Plans First Floor The Meadow Reading Room, located in the southeast corner of the building overlooking Resurrection Meadow, promises to become one of the most popular study areas on campus. The first floor of the Christopher Center for Library and Information Resources also will house a small café, a 60-seat computer lab, the University's media library, the Writing Center and the Electronic Information Services Help Desk through which individual computer and related requests are addressed. Second Floor Taking advantage of the natural slope of the site, the second floor of the Christopher Center for Library and Information Resources will be at ground level on the front (north side) of the building while all four floors will be visible on the other sides of the Christopher Center. Just inside the front door is the circulation desk for traditional library services and dominating the area behind it will be the reference collection. Also located on this floor are a high-tech tiered classroom, a large and versatile Community Room, a 30-seat high-tech Heritage Room and the upper level of the automated book storage and retrieval system. Third Floor Much of the University's general collection will be accessible in the stacks on the third and fourth floors of the Christopher Center for Library and Information Resources. The third floor also provides space for the rare books collection and for the University archives. There also is a reading room and areas for group study. Fourth Floor In addition to providing stacks for the general collection of books, the fourth floor of the Christopher Center for Library and Information Resources features a small faculty study. Like the floor below it, the fourth floor also has areas for students to work on group projects or hold small study sessions and a small reading room. Certain to become popular with students because of its charm and unique view of campus is the fourth-floor outdoor terrace overlooking Resurrection Meadow on the east side of the building. | ![]() |
