Shown above is an architect's model of the east side of the Christopher Center for Library and Information Resources. This is the view from Resurrection Meadow, the grassy area south of the Chapel of the Resurrection. To the left of the terrace area is a large reading room that will provide a panoramic view of the meadow, the chapel and campus to the east. To the left of the ground level entrance will be a small café.
Shown above is an architect's model of the Christopher Center for Library and Information Resources as viewed from the north. The main entrance to the new building is under the overhang near the center of the model. To the right of the entrance is a large Community Room suitable for a variety of uses and to the left is the Heritage Room, which will serve as a conference and meeting room. Just inside the entrance is the library circulation desk, the reference area and access to many other library services.
This view of the architect's model of the Christopher Center for Library and Information Resources is a bird's-eye view from the southeast and approximates the view of the new building by a traveler driving along U.S. Route 30 on the south edge of campus. The lattice-like feature on the south and east sides of the building covers an outdoor terrace and shields large areas of windows that provide stunning views of campus. | ![]() |
