Valpo celebrates community

The second annual Communiversity Day celebrates Valparaiso University's positive relationship with the people of the surrounding community. All are invited to join in the fun beginning at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011.

Last year, the first night football game at Brown Field saw nearly 4,700 people pack the stadium. This year, the Valpo football team takes on Franklin at 7 p.m., with a fireworks show following.

But there will be plenty of fun before the Crusaders take the field. Live music, the Build a Reading Buddy service project, a tailgate barbecue, Valpo volleyball action, and games for all ages are among the attractions.

You won't want to miss out on this new tradition - a day when the campus community and Northwest Indiana stand together.
