Certificate Program in Organizational Management

Certificate students may enroll in a maximum of 11 credits per semester. Courses required for this 24-credit certificate are currently offered at the University on a regular basis. All coursework may be applied towards a business degree at Valparaiso University and can typically be completed on a part-time basis in 1.5 to 2 years.

Criteria for Admission
The Organizational Management program is open to persons with or without a baccalaureate or associate degree. Students apply to the College of Adult Scholars for admission to the program after consultation with a College of Business Administration faculty adviser for the program. Applicants should submit the following:

Completed application for the College of Adult Scholars;
Official transcripts of all prior college work; students with fewer than 30 credits must also submit high school transcripts;
Application fee of $30.

An applicant without an undergraduate degree should, when possible, provide evidence of proficiency in basic quantitative and mathematical concepts (e.g. the equivalent of Math 110). Students lacking an adequate background may take preparatory coursework at VU or equivalent coursework at another college of university.

Students are prepared to understand and develop websites, work with desktop publishing, plan and design graphic presentations, manage and manipulate data, and oversee office information systems.
