Tue, February 16, 2010 | ShareThis Dr. Michele Monson, assistant professor of education at Valparaiso University, enjoys walking her dogs at Taltree Arboretum southwest of Valparaiso and taking in the natural beauty of what she calls "a serene little gem right here in our community."

During the past year, those nature walks got her thinking about how the arboretum could be used as an outdoor classroom for K-12 students, and a teaching tool for her education students at Valpo.......click on link below to continue....
