Professional Learning Communites (PLC) Workshop

The workshop is being sponsored by Valparaiso University's secondary level Professional Educators Partnership (PEP).  Greg Bishop's, keynote speaker is the RTI Specialist for the Michigan Association of Secondary Principals.  Find out more about how to empower your teachers to raise their students' achievement through the development of an effective PLC.  The days activities will highlight the six essential principles of Alan Blankstein's 2005 professional development book of the year, Failure is NOT an Option.

Afternoon featured speaker, Carolyn Powers of Fort Wayne Community Schools, will share her story of how Fort Wayne Community Schools are moving forward with Professional Learning Communities throughout their corporation.  Hear how principals along with a team of teachers have been empowered to lead their schools to a higher level of learning in the classroom.
