Author, Anita Archer will address this year's theme, Dynamic Vocabulary Instruction at the ninth annual Literacy Workshop. Anita is best known for her highly practical and efficient resources for teachers to implement explicit instruction in all content areas. Anita will present effective research-based strategies to engage and inspire all students including reluctant readers, ESL students and special needs students. Her most recent publication, Explicit Instruction is a part of What Works for Special Needs Learners Series. The workshop is packed full of practical strategies that you can begin using the next day.
In response to the economic times the University will offer a special group rate; for every four paid registrations, a fifth teacher from the same school may attend for FREE. All five attendees must be registered at the same time to receive the discount. Discounts and early registration ends September 18, 2013.
