Philip B. Leege is a semi-retired engineering consultant for Prairie Green Renewable Energy Inc., Calgary. He also has spent more than 40 years in engineering and manufacturing management for Procter & Gamble. Leege served 10 years as the chairman of the Standards and Practices Committee for the U.S. Composting Council, and was elected to its board of directors in 1999. He has held membership in a number of professional organizations and commissions, and has had many technical articles published. Leege has been a speaker at numerous national and international forums, and a guest lecturer and workshop instructor at universities in the United States, Canada, and southeast Asia. He has received numerous honors, awards and citations for his leadership in public safety, environmental, and cultural programs. He serves on the Board of Regents for Concordia University, Ann Arbor. Leege was the recipient of a 2008 VUAA Alumni Achievement Award.
