Retired President/COO, Dynegy Inc.

Mr. Furbacher was named president and chief operating officer of Dynegy Inc. in August 2005 and retired in 2007. He is responsible for all aspects of the operational and commercial activities of Dynegy’s primary business line, power generation. Mr. Furbacher previously served as president of Dynegy Midstream Services, as well as president of Chevron’s Warren Petroleum Company, the natural gas liquids division of Chevron U.S.A., Inc.  He began his career with Chevron in 1973 as a design engineer at the company's refinery in Richmond, California. Mr. Furbacher serves on a variety of professional and community boards and is active in civic organizations.
