Biography

Dr. Khorbotly received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Akron in 2007. His teaching interests include Digital Design, Signals & Systems and the DSP series of classes. His research interests include the fixed-point implementation of real-time signal processing algorithms and Robotics/Machine vision.  A two time recipient of the IEEE Real-World Engineering Projects award in 2007 and 2009. He received these awards in recognition of his efforts in the creation of first-year teaching modules highlighting the societal impact of the electrical and computer engineering professions.  Professor Khorbotly has joined the faculty at Valparaiso University in the fall of 2013 as Associate Professor of Electrical  and Computer Engineering.
