He arrived at Valparaiso in 1996 and served as department chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering from 2001 to 2009. He is actively involved in the first-semester engineering course GE 100, helped to create the multidisciplinary senior design project courses GE 497 and GE 498, and is the co-chair of the steering committee for the Master of Engineering Management degree.
