The nanoK12 laboratory is directed by Mark M. Budnik of the Valparaiso University, College of Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department. Other ECE faculty assist in the organization when needed.

Undergraduate students from the ECE department assist in the development of applications. Typically, three to five students are working in this group during the school year and summer.
