- Student Achievements (2009)
- Erin Dillon, a civil engineering student, was one of 61 undergraduate students from the United States and Canada selected to receive a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to support her studies in the Valparaiso International Engineering Program-German (VIEP-German).
- Sarah Ott, senior civil engineering student, was named as a member of the USA Today’s All-USA College Academic Honorable Mention Team along with 18 other students.
- Robert Schroeder, senior mechanical engineering student, and Sarah Ott, senior civil engineering student, received national Tau Beta Pi Fellowships for graduate study.
- Luke Venstrom, a mechanical engineering student, was awarded a NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.
- A paper by Josh Wood '08 CPE, "Carbon Nanotube Alignment Using Meniscus Action," tied for the Best Paper Award at the 2009 IEEE International Conference on Nanotechnology in Genoa, Italy.
