A workshop in various techniques of writing poetry, fiction, and non-fiction prose, this course provides a capstone experience for English writing minors and English majors with a strong interest in writing. Students will build on their experience in previous writing courses by studying significant models of all three genres and by writing in those genres. Enrollment is limited to eighteen students. Students should expect to compose a substantial portfolio of poetry and prose. Prerequisites: English 321 or 431; 301 or 423 or 424; or approval of the Chair of the Department.
