ENGLISH 475/575: TWENTIETH CENTURY POETRY: Cr. 3
Byrne:
A study of the major British and American poets of the Modern Period, as well as an examination of the influential thematic and stylistic innovations of the late Romantics. Readings will include selections from Whitman, Dickinson, Yeats, Eliot, Williams, Stevens, Lowell, Warren, and others. Participants are required to select a particular author for extended analysis in a term paper.
