- Location, location, location: Valpo's proximity to the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore allows for frequent examination of one of the most ecologically interesting field sites in the nation. In addition, a long history of industrial production provides excellent case studies of environmental problems and creative solutions.
- Faculty: Valpo's Enviromental Science program is greatly enhanced by the participation of faculty from a variety of strong departments on campus. These include a chemistry program fully accredited by the American Chemical Society, a Geography Department known for its specialities in meteorological science and Native American issues, and Civil Engineering in the College of Engineering.
- VU Graduate Programs: At Valpo you have the opportunity of continuing your undergraduate interest in Environmental Science by pursuing the College of Business Administration's Master of Business Administration degree or by pursuing a degree in law from the Valparaiso University School of Law. Valpo's MBA program emphasizes skills needed for successful leadership in today's dynamic world. These include interpersonal communication, functional excellence, ethical and critical thinking, technology management, and stewardship of the natural environment. Valpo's School of Law has faculty with an interest in environmental law.
