Valparaiso’s Christmas Concert DVD is the first video recording of a festive campus tradition that has been enjoyed for more than 80 years by people throughout the region. Filmed during live performances in the Chapel of the Resurrection, the concert is presented on this new DVD.
Among the works featured in the concert are the Hallelujah chorus from Handel’s Messiah, Johan DeMeij’s Polish Christmas Music, John Philip Sousa’s By the Light of the Polar Star, James MacMillan’s A Child’s Prayer, Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Snow Maiden, Peter Warlock’s Three Carols and Stephen Squires’ A Scottish Carol.
