December 2008 Valparaiso University Commencement Schedule

Sunday, Dec. 14, 2:30 p.m. -- Chapel of the Resurrection

Conferring of Degrees on candidates from the School of Law, undergraduate and graduate programs.

The mid-year commencement ceremony for Valpo students completing undergraduate, graduate and law degree programs is Sunday, Dec. 14, in the Chapel of the Resurrection. Ceremonies begin at 2:30 p.m. and doors to the chapel will open at 1:30. No tickets are required and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

A professional photographer from Chappel Studios Inc. will photograph all graduates individually as they are recognized. These pictures will be available to graduates and their families.

Guests in wheelchairs will be directed to an area at the end of pews along the north aisle. A special area will be reserved for hearing-impaired persons, and a sign language interpreter will be present to sign the Convocation for those who wish that assistance. Persons wishing to sit in this area, or those in wheelchairs who need assistance, should request assistance from an usher as they enter the Chapel prior to the Convocation.

A reception for graduates, parents, friends and members of the faculty and staff will be held in the Center for the Arts following the Convocation.
