Introductory level courses are offered in most departmental majors and professional programs at Valparaiso University.  Exploratory students are encouraged to take these courses which count toward elective credit requirements for graduation.  Introductory courses provide a means to find out more about a particular major and to discover possible careers in the related field.  A sampling of the many introductory courses that will help you explore majors are:  Intro to Teaching and  Field Experience (ED 203), Survey of Communication Fields (COMM 100), Intro to Physical Education (PE 150), The Criminal Justice System (SOC 130), Exploring Engineering (GE 100), Intro to Contemporary Business (MGT 100), Law Environment of  Business (BLAW 104), Intro to the Profession of  Social Work (SOCW 151), and Economics of Health, Education and Welfare (ECON 136).  As an Exploratory student, you will be able to discuss with your advisor the full range of introductory courses available in the specific fields that you want to explore.
