The Altar

Approximately 45 people can commune around the altar, which is a 20-foot free standing, table-type altar made of black Italian marble. The pedestals are inlaid with symbols of the four evangelists. Matthew is represented by an angel, Mark by a lion, John by an eagle, and Luke by an ox. The altar was designed by Peter Dohmen Studios.
