In addition to the trenching required for the new water and sewer mains, smaller trenching is taking place across campus to create an improved system for voice and data transmission. Plans call for digging at multiple locations concurrently in order to reduce construction time. It is anticipated that the excavation and laying of conduit can be completed by May when crews will begin to pull new cable and connect it to campus buildings.
