“I’M A VALPO GRADUATE” - JEFFREY PERRY '06

VALPARAISO UNIVERSITY
TAUGHT ME VALUES-BASED LEADERSHIP

When I decided to pursue my MBA, Valparaiso University was the obvious choice. Not only does the University have an impeccable reputation, but its College of Business Administration is among just 25% of business programs in the nation to be accredited by the leading business accrediting body, the AACSB International. The CBA is also widely recognized for its teaching of values-based leadership, an attribute that was of particular importance to me.

As a Valpo MBA student, I experienced mentoring by great faculty members who presented challenging, relevant coursework. I also learned the significance of collaborating with others for the betterment of the organization and was provided with opportunities to interact with leaders at large corporations learn from executive coaches, and network with alumni who have used their Valpo education to be successful without sacrificing their values.

Today, I am the Senior Manager of Internal Audit at Kellogg’s. My department researches, develops, and executes internal audits, which includes reviews of all aspects of the business for all locations worldwide. Additionally, we work to satisfy government regulations, implement best practices to make process more efficient and effective, and provide services to prevent and detect fraud.

Being part of a community of individuals who long to succeed and improve in business while refusing to sacrifice their morals, values and ethics was a key factor to my current success. Valpo has it all: great faculty, challenging coursework, values and ethics, current events and trends, environmental stewardship, networking opportunities, a beautiful campus. It’s because of this that I am truly proud to say that I’m a Valpo Graduate. I hope that you’ll become a Valpo graduate, too!
