Financial Aid Application Criteria
Generally, aid recipients at Valparaiso University must:
•Be degree-seeking, and making satisfactory academic progress
toward a degree according to VU's Satisfactory
Academic Progress Policy.
•Be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credits per semester) for
most aid programs.
•Be enrolled at least half-time (6 creditsper semester) for
certain federal loans and other programs.
•Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible non-citizen.
Not be in default on a federal loan, owe a refund or be in repayment
on any federal or state program.
