Description: Assistant Staff: Need female staff person to spend evenings at Alice's from 10pm-8am (and sleep) for free room and board, and/or a staff person to cover approx 40 hours (2 evenings per weekday and Sat or Sun 8am-10pm and an 8 hours shift (day or evening on Sat or Sun.) Would answer phone, supervise 8 residents, keep staff notes, file papers. Knowledge of the 12 step program a plus.

Description: Shelter Assistant: Sort and store donations;
tutor children or adults (GED preparation, basic computer skills,
etc.); clean shelter bedrooms/bathrooms to prepare for next homeless
family; clerical tasks: data entry, filing, etc. Required: ability
to lift up to 25 pounds and to climbs stairs. Preferred: relevant
experience/education with computers or children. Hours: M/Tu/W/F
4pm-9pm, Sat 9am-9pm, Sun 9am-5pm (student may choose any hours
up to 8hrs max on saturday.)

Observe and interact with parents and children when together and share observations.

Description: B.A.B.E. (Beds and Britches, Etc.) Store Assistant: Greet clients and their children when they enter the store, help clients find specific baby items they might need, collect the correct amount of coupons from the client and date and document what was purchased on each coupon. Keep store neat-straighten clothing or any items that have been moved.

Description: Child Care Assistant: Assist with children
6 wks-6 yrs. Responsibilities will focus on helping children develop
socially, emotionally, intellectually, physically, and spiritually.
Help each child engage in play and discovery-oriented environment
designed to nurture development. May also include helping children
with physical needs such as meals/snacks, diapering and toileting,
and nap or rest times.

Description: Child Care - Lead Teacher Back-Up - Under the supervision of the Child Care Director and in collaboration with lead teachers, will serve as a lead teacher "back-up" for a group of preschool-age children. Responsibilities include direct care for children, communication with family members and assisting teachers with curriculum related projects. Position requires a criminal history background check, a yearly TB test and attendance at two separate training sessions.
