To qualify, an applicant must:

1. Have applied or been accepted into a doctoral degree program with a concentration in accounting
2. Have earned a Master's Degree and/or completed at least 3 years full-time experience in the practice of accounting
3. Be a CPA or plan to pursue the CPA credential
4.  Agree to attend school on a full-time basis until attaining one's doctoral degree

Frank L. Greathouse Government Accounting Scholarship

Eligibility:

    * Currently a full-time student in an accounting program who is preparing for a career in state and local government finance.
    * Citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada.
    * Recommendation by student's academic advisor or the chair of the accounting program.
    * Student has not been a past winner of a scholarship administered by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.

Indiana CPA Society Scholarship

Eligibility:

1. The student must be a resident of Indiana, attending an ICI member institution, pursuing accounting studies and classes that will lead to a major in accounting or its equivalent, with a career interest in the accounting and finance field.
2. The student must be in good standing at their college/university and be on target to graduate no later than the final semester of the academic year following their application.

Amount: $500

Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Scholarship

Applicant must be:

1.      A resident of the state of Indiana with full-time student status at an Indiana independent college or university

2.      A sophomore, junior or senior as of the 2009 fall semester with a GPA of 2.5 or higher

3.      Pursuing a degree in business, insurance, or related field intending to embark on a career in the insurance profession

4.      In need of the financial assistance provided by this scholarship

5.      In good standing at his or her institution of higher education

6.      Able to demonstrate involvement and leadership in campus activities
