Frank L. Greathouse Government Accounting Scholarship

Eligibility:

    * Currently a full-time student in an accounting program who is preparing for a career in state and local government finance. Both advanced undergraduate and graduate students are eligible.
    * Citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada.
    * Recommendation by student's academic advisor or the chair of the accounting program.
    * Student has not been a past winner of a scholarship administered by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.

Indiana CPA Society Scholarship

Eligibility:

1. The student must be a resident of Indiana, attending an ICI member institution, pursuing accounting studies and classes that will lead to a major in accounting or its equivalent, with a career interest in the accounting and finance field.
2. The student must be in good standing at their college/university and be on target to graduate no later than the final semester of the academic year following their application.

Amount: $500

Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Scholarship

Applicant must be:

1.      A resident of the state of Indiana with full-time student status at an Indiana independent college or university

2.      A sophomore, junior or senior as of the 2009 fall semester with a GPA of 2.5 or higher

3.      Pursuing a degree in business, insurance, or related field intending to embark on a career in the insurance profession

4.      In need of the financial assistance provided by this scholarship

5.      In good standing at his or her institution of higher education

6.      Able to demonstrate involvement and leadership in campus activities

Education Scholarships

BrainTrack Teaching Scholarship

BrainTrack offers a scholarship for teaching students that are planning to teach between kindergarten and 12th grade. A winning and runnerup award is given every semester to students currently in a teaching degree program. Applicants are asked to provide essays on their experiences as a teaching student.

Indiana Minority Teacher and Special Education Services Scholarship Program

Applicant must:

1. Be an Indiana resident

3. Have achieved at least a "C" grade point average for three semesters
4. Be sophomore standing when applying to receive as junior

AES Engineer Scholarship

The consulting firm of AES Engineers is committed to continuing its support of higher education by providing scholarships to deserving students.

Computer Science and Computer Engineering Scholarship

$1,000 awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Areas of study that will be considered include computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, database management, computer networking, computer programming and information technology management.

Eligibility Criteria

 * Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent U.S. Resident
 * Must be enrolled (or accepted) in an accredited college or university and planning on continuing the next

INDOT Engineering Scholarship

Eligible Civil Engineering students accepted into or currently enrolled in the School of Engineering at an ABET accredited Indiana college or university may apply. Scholarship recipients also benefit by working for INDOT during summer breaks and after graduation.

* Students who are accepted into or currently enrolled in the School of Engineering at an Indiana ABET accredited college or university. Eligible university programs include Purdue University, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, University of Evansville, University of Notre Dame, Tri-State University, University of Southern Indiana and Valparaiso University.

Motivating Undergraduates in Science and Technology (MUST) Program*

Northeast Indiana Engineers Week Academic Awards

1. Must have graduated from a high school located in the Indiana counties of Adams, Allen, Dekalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, or Whitley; or live in one of the listed counties for a minimum of one year.

Students must

Tom Joyner Foundation Scholarship

Offers a ‘full ride’ scholarship for a student planning to attend a Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) in the fall of 2010. Students will receive full tuition and stipends for up to 10 semesters to cover room and board (on-campus only) and books up.)
 
To be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:

Balanced Man Scholarships

Sigma Phi Epsilon believes learning how to balance roles and activities in college is one of the most important life skills one can learn. We believe recognizing students who exhibit balance, all-around excellence, is one way to promote this important idea. Therefore, every year, we offer four Balanced Man Scholarships in the amount of (1) $1000 and (3) $500. These scholarships are offered to incoming male students who have excelled in the development of a Sound Mind and a Sound Body during their high school careers. Our aim is to reward men who exemplify these qualities, as we believe they are essential to leading a balanced life. Applicants for and recipients of the Balanced Man Scholarship are NOT obligated to join the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. This Scholarship is available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any post secondary institution.

Sallie Mae 911 Education Fund

This fund was created in response to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The scholarship program is open to children of those who were killed or permanently disabled as a result of the terrorist attacks, and who are enrolled as full-time undergraduate students at approved, accredited institutions.

Scholarship awards of up to $2,500 per applicant, per school year, are available and may be renewed on an annual basis, subject to satisfactory academic progress.

Army Nurse Corps Association Scholarship Program

 The College of Nursing must nominate a student. For more information to see if you qualify, please be in contact with VU's Nursing College.

An eligible student is:

1. A nursing student who plans to enter the Active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve.
2. A nursing student who has previously served in the Active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve.
3. An Army Nurse Corps officer enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate nursing program who is not funded by the Active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve.
4. An Army enlisted soldier in the Active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve who is working toward a baccalaureate degree in nursing and is not funded by the Active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve.
5. A nursing student who has an immediate family member who is serving or has served in the Active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve This relationship may be husband, wife, father, mother, brother, sister or step parents.

Students who receive a ROTC scholarship are not eligible; however, ROTC students not receiving a scholarship are eligible. Because ANCA does not have an official affiliation with the Army Nurse Corps or the U.S. Army, there is no military service obligation incurred by the student who receives scholarship funds through this program. Questions concerning service in the military should be directed to a military recruiter.
