Under the direction of the Youth Program Coordinator, assist in the planning, preparation and implementation of after-school programming for school-age children.  Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, supervising and interacting with children, planning entertaining and/or enriching activities, assisting with homework, art, games, computers, gardening, chaperoning group outings and field trips, and collaborating with other staff and volunteers.

This position requires an understanding of the importance of respecting each child as an individual and the ability to work sensitively with children and families from varying cultural, racial, and economic backgrounds.  Applicants are required to submit to both a criminal background and central registry check (at no cost).  Completion of training in Child CPR, Universal Precautions and First Aid is mandatory within the first month of employment.
