Location: Christian Community Action/Spring Valley Shelter 2001 Calumet Ave (North of Walgreen's) Phone Number: 465-1022 Contact: Erin Miller Hours: 10 hrs/wk Job Class: SSUP-4 Shelter Assistant Sort and store donations; tutor children or adults (GED preparation, basic computer skills, etc.); clean shelter bedrooms/bathrooms to prepare for next homeless family; clerical tasks: data entry, filing, etc. Required: ability to lift up to 25 pounds and to climbs stairs. Preferred: relevant experience/education with computers or children. Hours: M/Tu/W/F 4pm-9pm, Sat 9am-9pm, Sun 9am-5pm (student may choose any hours up to 8hrs max on saturday.)
