In November 2016, Prof. Ames, associate professor of foreign languages and literatures in the College of Arts and Sciences, was honored at the Indiana Foreign Language Teachers Association conference by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese Indiana Chapter as Teacher of the Year, University Level.
