- German Activities
Emily and Chris build the German Club's replica of the Berlin Wall at Homecoming; children of Valpo alumni were responsible for tearing it down! At Valpo we know that learning doesn't stop when you leave the classroom.
You can take advantage of a wide variety of activities that will enhance your learning and are fun besides.
• Bratfest--kick-off picnic
• Fastnachtsfeier--annual dance
• Trips to the Chicago Lyric Opera
• Theaterfest--hosting area high schools for theatrical presentations and performance
• German Club meetings every other week
• Kaffeestunde each Friday afternoon (coffee, cookies, and conversation)
• Exhibits, film festivals and lectures, like those given by Joseph Eberle Visiting Scholars
• Homecoming activities (the German House has won the "Spirit Stick" several times!)
