Student Profile: Kaitlyn
Kaitlyn Carzoli

I choose Valpo...

because there are many different opportunities to improve my German, not only in class, but also with activities like German Club, Kinder lernen Deutsch, and Kaffeestunde.

German major, French major

Kaitlyn Carzoli was already a prize-winning German student when she arrived at Valpo. Winner of a trip to Germany through the AATG (American Association of Teachers of German), Kaitlyn lived in Kulmbach, near Nürnberg, in the summer before her senior year in high school. Kaitlyn loves to read, is active in the German Club, and is also minoring in French.

"At Valpo, German does not stop when you leave the classroom. Opportunities like teaching in Kinder lernen Deutsch, attending Stammtisch and Kaffeestunde, and living in the German House are great ways to practice German outside of class. The faculty members help you both in class and in letting you know about all the extra activities happening around campus."
