I choose Valpo...

because the smaller class sizes allow me to build relationships with my professors and peers, and at the same time, the opportunities extend far beyond the campus.

Intl. Business and German

Lauren Marinko is one of three students already committed to the brand-new interdisciplinary major called Enhanced International Business - German (EIB-German).  Inaugurated at Valpo in 2012, EIB-German will take Lauren and her classmates to Germany for a full year (one semester of study along with one semester and summer of work) before bringing them back to campus for the final capstone semester.  Lauren played basketball in high school and is keeping involved with athletics by working at Valpo's Fitness Center and serving as referee for recreational sports.

"Valpo's German department offers so many resources, both on and off campus, to enhance your foreign language abilities. I'm so excited to participate in a study abroad program because I know that the professors at Valpo are very well equipped to help me build knowledge and improve my confidence in the German language."
