Student Profile: Tyler

I choose Valpo

because I can get involved in activities outside my major—like music.

Enhanced International Business - German

After his high school exchange trip to Germany, Tyler Ingersoll knew that he wanted to go back. The German program at Valpo lets him combine that goal with other pursuits. He is a student in the Enhanced International Business – German (EIB-German) program. Through it, he will earn a double major in International Business and German and spend a full year in Germany (a semester of study and a semester and a summer of work experience). He also takes courses in Valpo’s honors college and plays the euphonium in Valpo’s Chamber Concert Band.

“The German program at Valpo provides all the essential ingredients to learn the German language and culture. From having coffee with local German speakers and attending traditional German cultural events, to reading German books from our own German library, everything necessary to achieve fluency in both the language and the culture is available to every student.”
