Valpo's German program offers several scholarships that provide students with financial assistance.

Two different types of scholarship are awarded while you are a high school senior:
• You should apply for a Foreign Languages and Literatures Scholarship by January of your senior year ($1,000, renewable each year for a total of $4,000).

• The Professor Carol Petersen Scholarship is awarded every year to an incoming student majoring in French or German ($1,000, freshman year only). Students are nominated for these scholarships.

Other scholarships are awarded while you are a student at Valpo:
• German majors who study abroad in Tübingen or Rottenburg are considered for a Henry and June Giebel Study Abroad Scholarship.
• Valpo German students may apply for a variety of other scholarships through organizations such as the DAAD, the state of Baden-Württemberg, and the National German Honorary Society (Delta Phi Alpha).
