CORE Film Screenings

The Language Resource Center sponsors special screenings of Valpo CORE films for international students.  For students whose native language is not English, the LRC screenings will provide supplemental support:

– The screening will be led by a language partner from the LRC
– English subtitles will be used
– The language partner will pause the film for several comprehension checkpoints
– The language partner will clarify English vocabulary and plot points 
– This screening will help students be better prepared for in-class discussion

Sept. 5:  Joy Luck Club
Nov. 7:  Philadelphia 

All screenings take place in the LRC Studio, Arts and Sciences Building room 240.
