"Images and Issues in the Movies"

A non-credit course in film analysis and criticism under the leadership of Professor Emeritus Richard Lee. The course will meet at 1:30 - 4:00 pm on the second Wednesday of each month during the last half of the Spring 2008 semester. The course description reads is as follows:

  1. A monthly adventure into cinema for senior citizens interested in both the art of motion pictures and the questions they raise. Films foreign and domestic, past and present, on a variety of topics are explored both
    aesthetically and athically in class discussions of the screenings.

The films, dates, and topics for the Spring 2008 semester will be:

  1. March 12, 2008: The Painted Veil
  2. April 7, 2008: God Grew Tired of Us
    1. Because of a room conflict, the normal April 9 date had to be switched to April 7.
  3. May 14, 2008: Ratatouille
