EDUCATION

  1. MED in Initial Licensure
    This program is appropriate for individuals with a baccalaureate degree in any field who want to teach in public, private, or parochial school systems at the elementary, middle, and secondary levels. The program prepares students for initial licensure for teaching in public or private schools in Indiana and other states with similar licensure requirements.
  2. MED in Initial Licensure (LEAPs Program)
    A two-year program that prepares students holding baccalaureate degrees in any field (excluding education) for teaching in elementary and secondary parochial schools. Apprentice teaching placement is in Lutheran and Catholic schools located in Northwest Indiana, Chicago, and Detroit. This program includes community living and spiritual development as integral parts of the overall program. Because this program includes a two-year service component teaching in under resourced schools, tuition scholarships are provided for admitted students. This program prepares students for initial licensure for teaching in public or private schools in Indiana and other states with similar licensure requirements.
