Arts and Sciences students who are considering the possibility of becoming Business Majors must take the prerequisite courses in mathematics, statistics, etc., in order to qualify for admission to the College of Business Administration.
Students who intend to complete the Liberal Arts Business Minor are strongly encouraged to consult with the office of the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences to obtain proper advising.
The 15-18 credits earned in the courses offered by the College of Business Administration may be applied toward the 124 required for graduation with a Bachelor's degree in the College of Arts and Sciences (see p. 50 of the General Catalog).
Upon completion of the minor, the designation, "Liberal Arts Business Minor," is placed on the student's transcript.
Requirements
- Students must have completed at least 48 credit hours, including ECON 221, and demonstrating MATH 110 proficiency.
- Will need to take 9 credits each summer session; which is technically an "overload."
- Will be paying the regular Summer Session tuition.
- Will need to have a current GPA of at least a 2.0.
*Students wanting to complete the full LABM during the summer should plan to take ECON 221 prior to Summer Session I, for example, during the spring semester, 2007. See p. 239 of the General Catalog for a listing of the program requirements.
**With the approval of the College of Business Administration, this requirement may be waived for LABM summer students only.
