On-line Atlases
- National
Geographic Atlas This is probably the best on-line atlas out there
for our purposes. Not only can you see where places are located but
you can also print out some outline maps to practice on.
- Maps
from the University of Texas at Austin
- If you don't have an atlas, these maps might come in handy when
you're studying for the map questions on the exams.
- Mapquest
- This is a cool site that allows you to look up any address in
the United States. It's also a nice demonstration of scale. Zoom
in on your home and then zoom back out to a map of the United States
- Maps of Colorado
- Use these to help visualize major cities and transportation routes
while making your maps of AIDS diffusion and later in the semester
when you analyze the Amendment 2 vote.
