National Geographic Atlas This is probably the best on-line atlas out there for our purposes. Not only can you see where places are located but you can also print out some outline maps to practice on.
Maps from the University of Texas at Austin
- If you don't have an atlas, these maps might come in handy when you're studying for the map questions on the exams.
Mapquest
- This is a cool site that allows you to look up any address in the United States. It's also a nice demonstration of scale. Zoom in on your home and then zoom back out to a map of the United States
Maps of Colorado
- Use these to help visualize major cities and transportation routes while making your maps of AIDS diffusion and later in the semester when you analyze the Amendment 2 vote.
  - Map of Colorado (shows major cities and highways)
  - Colorado Counties
  - Shaded Relief Map (largely irrelevant for the purposes of this course but it looks cool!)
