Come to class with a basic familiarity with the following concepts and ideas: Wetlands, Feedback, positive and negative feedback, turbidity, filter feeders, salinity, limiting nutrients, natural eutrophication, cultural eutrophication, reaeration, advanced wastewater treatment.
Additional Assignment: Outline for yourself the interdependent natural systems of Chesapeake Bay. As you read see if you can diagram the various interconnections that the chapter describes.
